Wintergarden, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical

<< Back to Portfolio

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Carbone engineered, fabricated, and installed custom waterjet cut posts to accommodate curved bamboo slats for a screen wall.
  • Posts feature a mirror polished T304 stainless-steel.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) is the innovative engine for Novartis, a multinational pharmaceutical company. The Wintergarden café at the NIBR headquarters is designed to energize the team and act as a gathering space to promote informal social interaction. The dynamic space complements an existing DNA-themed ground floor lobby by integrating scientific disciplines – including custom, three-dimensional components curving along two different axes.
