PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Carbone fabricated a two-zone swim spa shell, with a compartment for an automatic retractable cover.
  • The spa unit was clad in slate both inside and out, eliminating any exposed stainless-steel.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Set in western Boston, this residential rooftop deck has unobstructed views of the city and features a one-of-a-kind spa. The selection of stainless-steel is ideal for this sky-high location, as stainless is more lightweight than conventional spa materials but still provides structural strength. Offering more flexibility in design, this two-zone unit includes both a swim-spa and spa as separate bodies of water, allowing for independent water temperatures.
