Peter J Carbone
Owner / CEO
Peter is the third generation of Carbones to proudly run the business since it’s founding in 1958. He began working at Carbone Metal Fabricator during high school summer vacations. His father was the owner then and mentored Peter by having him work in each department of the company. After attending Northeastern University, Peter joined the company full time in the sales department and went on to take over the warehouse operations. After the premature death of his father in 1993, Peter assumed the role of President. He quickly made his mark on the business by investing in new infrastructure, machinery, technology and improved quality controls and procedures, including ISO 9000 certification. His strong commitment to reinvesting in the company and help it continuously grow and improve its reputation in the marketplace is instilled in every one of our employees, some who have been at Carbone Metal Fabricator for over 25 years. In addition to his business responsibilities, Peter is on the Board of Directors for the Chelsea Boys and Girls Club and is a member of the Dana Farber 406 Club as well as the North American Hunting Club.
Paul has a combined 20 years’ experience in custom food service manufacturing that has been fueled by his deep passion and enthusiasm for the business. His experience spans of sales, engineering, and manufacturing. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for continuous improvement initiatives that have led to double digit growth year after year. He has also championed lean initiatives that led to lower cost of operations, increased quality, and increased customer satisfaction. Paul prides himself on being continually accessible to customers, consultants, and colleagues to utilize his vast experience in design, engineering, and his expert problem solving skills to achieve the ultimate customer service experience.
John H. Kelley
SVP - CFO
John has over 30 years experience in the metals and fabrication industry, 10 of them with Carbone Metal Fabricator. His experience having been on both sides makes him uniquely understand all aspects of the business to insure each and every customer gets the attention to detail they deserve throughout the entire order process. John has vast knowledge in operations (including Lean Manufacturing) and customer service in addition to his financial background.
VP Engineering - Design & Dev.
Eugene has been with Carbone for over 22 years leading the engineering team throughout all phases of design and manufacturing. His extensive knowledge and experience has led him to develop new products and processes while improving the existing ones. He is also deeply involved in prototype design and development projects – rapid-cook oven together with Turbochief Technologies is just one example.
Kevin Smith is one of three full-time project managers and specializes in the industrial division. He's been in the stainless industry for 35+ years, 18 of which have been at Carbone. Kevin's experience in the stainless industry is extremely broad and diverse, from installations to sales to shop manager. There's no project he can't handle. Above all, he enjoys and takes pride in design/build projects working with architects and making their visions become reality.
Derek Menadue is an architectural metals project manager with over 20 years of diversified experience in business development and project/program management inclusive of all facets of construction. Working with demanding clients on challenging projects is his passion. Derek drives the project team toward the goal of delivering work on time with quality that exceeds our customer’s expectations.
Beginning with raw materials purchasing all the way through delivery and installation, Carbone Metal Fabricator is a winning team. Our quality management program includes an emphasis on customer service, as well as product quality. With our job order costing system, we provide quick and accurate quotations for each project before we begin manufacturing. An in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and an understanding of the performance of various materials enables Carbone Metal Fabricator to design for durability without sacrificing affordability. Due to our design team’s competence and our craftsmen’s insistence on excellence, our products not only meet, but in some cases exceed NSF standards. Additionally, some products are listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Attention to detail and exacting quality control are applied at every stage of the production process to ensure structural integrity and careful finishing on every Carbone Metal Fabricator product.
We utilize state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment in our spacious 44,000 square foot facility. Our Amada automated punch press exceeds the capabilities of many competitors, allowing the processing of stainless steel and sheet metal up to one quarter inch thick and 80″ x 160″. The Amada automated hyper-fine-bender down-acting press brake insures accuracy, quickness, and precise duplication in the forming of metal.
